The project Powers comes from the need to address the high level of unemployment as an issue affecting youth and, in particular, young women.
It aims to involve 26 participants between 18 and 35 years old from 4 countries.
Although the phenomenon manifests itself in different ways in the countries and contexts involved (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Senegal), in all these realities unemployment has a strong effect on the participation of young women in the society.
Difficulties to find a job are due to structural causes and other factors such as lack of opportunities (educational and practical) to:
-acquire skills
-be able to find the desired occupation
-proactively promote, implement and manage own business or activity
Specific objectives of the project are to:
– foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth between Italy, Portugal, Senegal and Spain
– promote transnational non-formal learning mobility by involving young women and youth workers to improve their competences to plan, implement, manage and communicate their own business
